Dr Andrew Ming graduated from Medicine at the University of New South Wales with First Class Honours in 1997. His undergraduate training was completed at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Darlinghurst, after which he completed his internship and residency at St. George Hospital, Kogarah.
Dr. Ming commenced studying in Paediatrics at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead, where he worked as a Paediatric Registrar. He obtained the Diploma in Child Health through the University of Sydney. He spent some time working in London and on his return to Australia, completed his training as a Paediatrician. Dr. Ming became a Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians in 2006.
Dr. Ming then pursued further specialist training in Dermatology. He undertook postgraduate training in Dermatology at the Skin and Cancer Foundation Darlinghurst, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney Children’s Hospital, Concord Hospital and Liverpool Hospital. Dr. Ming became a Fellow of the Australasian College of Dermatologists in 2010.
Dr. Ming completed a Fellowship in Paediatric Dermatology at The Children’s Hospital Colorado and the University of Colorado Denver, USA in 2011.
Dr. Ming has published articles in peer-reviewed journals, both locally and internationally. He is involved in teaching sessions with medical students, general practitioners and dermatology trainees and has presented at conferences in Australia and overseas.
He is a Visiting Medical Officer at The Children’s Hospital at Westmead where he runs a weekly paediatric dermatology outpatient clinic. Dr. Ming has an interest in both adult and paediatric dermatology.
